It’s easy to let health habits fall by the wayside with all that is going on. Staying home, and feeling stressed, many of us turn to food as an escape. But now is the time to practice good eating habits and even try to lose some weight if that is necessary. This approach does not involve exercise–it’s about what we eat–although the course does include specific information about exercising during the pandemic.
This course is for anyone who wants to lose weight and keep it off using a healthy, effective and long-term approach.
I have a PhD in nutrition and I am a long time health writer. I used this approach to lose 30 lbs after the age of 50 also.
NO crash dieting, NO supplements, and you eat ONLY the healthy things you enjoy eating.
You can eat any time you want and even enjoy a piece of cake once in a while!
Here’s the approach:
1. No sugar and no flour (except for a once-weekly exception–we’ll explain)
2. Eat twice a day between an 8-hour window
3. Prep most of your food for the week once a week
4. Write down what you plan to eat every morning
5. Weigh every morning
We do these five things every day until we get to our goal weight. Then here’s the trick–we keep living this way when we are AT goal weight–regardless of what is going on around us.
That’s what keeps the weight off. It’s a lifetime plan. Even when we go off track–and we all do–we just come back to these 5 principles. So simple and it works.
